What’s done in a Performance Enhancement Training Consultation?
There are 3 phases of a Performance Enhancement Training session.
Phase I: Goal Identification. Working together, we’ll identify in clear and concrete terms what your ultimate goal is. Common goals of past clients include:
For Athletes:
-
“Being more confident during games”
-
“Not being so nervous that it hinders my performance”
-
“I do well in practice but can’t seem to do as well in games”
-
“Perform as well as I did last year”
-
“Focus better in practice”
-
“Be able to perform in pressure situations”
-
“Be more mentally tough”
-
“Feel confident returning from my injury”
For Businessmen & Businesswomen:
-
“Get the mental edge on my competition”
-
“Increase my productivity “
-
“Be able to stay more focused on my goals”
-
“Bounce back quicker after a deal falls through”
Phase II: Strengths/Improvement Assessment. We’ll evaluate your strengths, successes, and areas for improvement that will help you accomplish your goals.
Phase III: Plan of Action. In this phase, we’ll discuss a Performance Enhancement action plan specifically designed for you to implement for the upcoming week, month, or season.
Individual sessions last about 45 minutes.
How quickly does Performance Enhancement Training Work?
Another common question I’m asked by clients is, “How long does it take to see results?” When clients begin to practice these mental skills, they will quickly notice a difference in the way they approach their sport, business, or performance. It is not uncommon for some clients to have a peak performance soon after their first session. Usually though, clients will begin showing improvement and more consistency in their performance as they continue to practice.
